If you enjoyed The Kiss Quotient series, then you'll adore The Brown Sisters series!
These series are interchangeable in the sense that if you enjoyed one, you will definitely enjoy the other! Both series focus on marginalized groups. The Kiss Quotient is mainly focused on autism, while The Brown Sisters contains various physical disabilities, as well as autism. Both are treated with such respect and sensitivity, and both allow for a deeper understanding of these communities and the people in them.
The romance in both these series is just right. Steamy enough to make it interesting, but not so steamy you roll your eyes or want to hurl. It's the perfect amount, too! The whole book isn't one big sex dream. There's substance and feeling in each of them, as well as social issues and needs. But the social issues aren't the main focus. It's more of a subplot that enhances the story as a whole.
The narration of both series is absolutely spectacular! Both switch between the male and female protagonists, providing realistic and reliable voices throughout. It's incredibly interesting to read the story from both sides and I never once felt distracted by the switch in voices.
Honestly, I cannot build up these two series enough! Both were such a pleasure to read and I actually finished all six books in one day each. The Kiss Quotient series was one that I especially could not put down. I highly recommend both of these!
