Mini Books Galore!

I love tracking what I read, and now I found a cute new way to do it! Plus, I found a use for all the cute cups Unplugged Book Box sends in their monthly packages. This is a really great activity to do if you need something mindless and peaceful, so let's get started!

Materials:

  • Printer/Paper

  • Scissors (preferably ones that you don't mind if they get sticky... I have special tape scissors for this reason)

  • Double sided mounting foam tape. (thickness depends on personal preference)

Instructions:

  1. Use your favorite photo editing/document creator to create the books. I personally prefer to use Microsoft Word for cut and dry printing/creating such as this.

  2. Find the images of your books and copy and paste them to your document. Make the dimensions how small or big you would like! Remember to create 2 of each cover so you can have a front and back. You could do the back cover if you really want it to look like a book.

  3. Print them... I like to have a whole sheet filled before I print it out.

  4. Start cutting! I was using a straight-edge paper cutter at first, but just did not have the patience for that and switched to scissors. Towards the end, I realized not putting spaces between the covers in the document was the easiest way for me to cut them.

  5. Put the mounting tape between your two covers and you're done!

  6. Find a cute jar to house all your new mini books!
