Horror Flats and More!

You guessed it - another shoe craft! This time, I found some adorable horror fabric and just had to make some cute date flats for when I go somewhere that I can't be outwardly... metal 😂 Similar to the Harry Potter shoes, these were easy, cheap, and look professional!

Materials:

  • Fabric

  • Shoes

  • Fabric Scissors (you'll notice that I also have Cricut scissors in the picture. I thought they'd be helpful... but stick with the fabric scissors lol)

  • Dishwasher Mod Podge

  • Paint Brush

  • Xacto Knife

Steps:

  1. For the most part, these steps will be the same as the Harry Potter shoes; however, the flats are much, much easier. I started by covering one half with fabric.

  2. Once you cut the fabric to size, glue both the shoe and the back of the fabric. Once in place, put a coat of glue over the fabric.

  3. Repeat this on the other half. I ended up cutting a face out to put directly in the center of the toes, which also conveniently covered the rest of the black.

  4. Use the Xacto knife to fix any unseemly edges.

  5. Let the top coat of glue dry for at least 12 hours before putting on a second coat. Let the second coat dry for 24 hours before wearing.

I hope you enjoyed these cute flats! I think they're a perfect way to add personality to an otherwise "fancy" outfit 😊

As I said before, I couldn't stop once I started. So, for those of you who aren't horror fans, here's some other ideas:
