Hidden Storage Book

If you're like me, then you have a ton of bookish items and not much room left on your walls/bookshelf. I'm a huge fan of those fake books from Michaels for storing these things, but I'm usually displeased with their design. That's when I realized I could obviously customize them. This is a really easy project that doesn't have much instruction, but I thought I would post my two finished products more to provide inspiration. I did both a Harry Potter (of course) and rose gold (of course) version. Enjoy!

As you see, I use these to hold my The Book Drop letters and the other to hold all Harry Potter memorabilia.

Materials

  • Storage Book

  • Scissors

  • Scrapbook Paper

  • Stickers

  • Washi Tape

  • Scrapbook Paper

  • Hot Glue

  • Any other additions you may want

Steps

  1. I started by cutting the scrapbook paper to size and hot gluing it to the book. This acted as my background.

  2. I used washi tape to create borders when I felt it was necessary

  3. I hot glued both the stickers and flowers to ensure they'd stay for a long time.

  4. That's it! On the Harry Potter book, I also did the spine, but I left the rose gold spine alone.

  5. This is truly something you can be creative with and customize however you seem fit. Once again, I think it would make a great gift for a fellow reader!
